15 April 2020 – PIRGROUP Corona updates

Last week on the 8th of April, the European Commission invited Member States to respond to its proposal on prolonging the travel ban that was introduced on the 19th of March for 30 days. Reason for the proposed extension is to further prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Based on today’s information from the Dutch Government, the travel ban applicable to travelling to The Netherlands has been extended up to the 15th of May 2020. Of course it will all depend on the situation in May whether further prolongation will be needed beyond that date.

As mentioned in our previous post certain persons are exempted from the travel ban, amongst which are those with a valid MVV entry visa.
